One of the largest patriotic women’s organizations in the world, DAR has more than 185,000 members in approximately 3,000 chapters across the country and several foreign countries. DAR members promote historic preservation, education, and patriotism via commemorative events, scholarships and educational initiatives, citizenship programs, service to veterans, meaningful community service, and more.
The Chattahoochee Technical College Practical Nursing program has been ranked as one of the top two Practical Nursing programs in the state. Earning the second-place score of 99.54 in an assessment by practicalnursing.org, the Chattahoochee Tech ranking was based on pass rates for the National Council Licensure Examination.
Hiram High Schools JROTC kicked off its raider season with the first meet of the year on September 12, 2020, at Adairsville High School. The Stinger’s raider mixed(Male/Female) team’s cadets pushed themself through humid heat and downpours during practice to prepare for their first meet of the season.

Paulding County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division was contacted by a Polk County resident regarding a stolen dune buggy. The victim indicated that his custom dune buggy was stolen from his residence in Polk County near Coots Lake Road on January 10, 2020, and that he had located it on Facebook Marketplace® for sale at a residence inside Paulding County.

Tabor Park (at the 9-11 memorial site) honoring the men and women who gave their lives to help others on one unforgettable day, 9/11/2001. As a precaution, social distancing will be practiced at this outdoor event.
