The Recycling Club at Scoggins Middle School needs your help! We are in need of a company to provide a recycling bin in which to place recycled material and to be hauled off. The students and teachers at Scoggins are committed to making the world a better place by recycling, and other schools in Paulding county want to recycle, but it is difficult when we do not a business partner that is able to come to pick up the recyclable materials.
Downtown Dallas hosted approximately 4500-5000 trick-or-treaters this past Halloween evening. During the course of the evening, residents showed up with her children dressed in all sorts of costumes to participate in the Halloween Hawaiian Luau.
The Paulding County Patriots hosted the Carrollton Trojans at Dave Hardin Stadium for their final home game of the season last Friday night. The Trojans cruised to a 56-0 victory in their quest to garner the #2 seed in region 7(5A} which is currently a logjam with East Paulding, Kell, and Carrollton.
While Deputies were en route to the scene, the call was upgraded to a shooting in progress involving multiple individuals. When Deputies arrived on the scene, they encountered multiple individuals and noticed that several vehicles had been shot along with one white male subject.
A very excited Ms. Jones took the podium to give an update for the Paulding Boys and Girls Club. Ms. Jones was very excited about their current progress working with the youth after school. The Boys and Girls Club goals are to inspire and empower youth to reach their full potential. She was quick to dispel the idea that the Boys and Girls Club was a place for children to stagnate after school. She shared their plans to educate, expose, and expand these young children with the afterschool programs that are currently available.
The Georgia Department of Economic Development’s Georgia Tourism Product Development (TPD) Resource Team will return to Paulding County on November 7 to present its final report. The TPD Resource Team is a statewide initiative that provides communities with the resources needed to identify tourism product and increase visitor activity throughout the community. The final findings will be shared at a public meeting at the Dallas Theater.

State Rep. Micah Gravley, R-Douglasville, recently received the “Champion of Georgia Cities" award from the Georgia Municipal Association (GMA). The award, which is given at the end of every two-year legislative term to state legislators who actively support major GMA initiatives and goals, was presented to Gravley by GMA Government Affairs Dir. Tom Gehl.
