CareLink of Northwest Georgia’s community health and resource center, intended to provide low-cost, high-quality medical care and support resources, officially opened last week and delivered its first day of operation. The building was acquired from WellStar and was being readied over the summer and completed last month.
A retirement reception was held in the Jail to honor the service of two longtime Paulding Deputies. Lieutenant Kathy Etheridge and Corporal Linda Kinnin were honored as they were surrounded by their friends, family, and co-workers. Together, Lieutenant Etheridge and Corporal Kinnin have over 42 years of service to the citizens of Paulding County. As of Friday, November 16, 2018, both will officially retire from service.

Paulding County, GA. On Tuesday, November 13, 2018, Detective Sean Lipstreu and Detective Steve Sorrells were jointly awarded the Paulding County Board of Commissioners Public Safety Award. Detectives Lipstreu and Sorrells were awarded the Commissioner’s Public Safety Award for their exemplary service to the Paulding County Sheriff’s Office and the children of Paulding County.

FCA Paulding is growing and is excited to be meeting with coaches and athletes across the county; in all five high schools, all nine middle schools, and now in four elementary schools.

Chattahoochee Technical College celebrated this year’s Veterans Day with an appreciation event at the college’s North Metro Campus featuring Vietnam Veteran Donna Rowe of Cobb County as the keynote speaker. Rowe noted the significance of U.S. Veterans who have served throughout history and described her service as a U.S. Army Nurse in charge of triage and ER medicine in the war zone of Vietnam.
Here in Paulding County, on the outskirts of the big city, we like to think that 'Poverty' and 'Homelessness' are not present here. However, if you drive through the City of Dallas on a Monday or Thursday evening from 5-7 p.m. you will see the face of Paulding's homeless.
