The Paulding County FFA was named the national winner of the 2018 National FFA Convention Hall of States competition. The Paulding County chapter, whose advisors are Mrs. Maggie Richards and Mr. Tom Liles, along with FFA members, Chloe Moody, Layne Ammons, Hunter Ammons, and Kaylee Patterson constructed a display that featured the top ten agricultural commodities in the state of Georgia.
The Paulding County Patriots traveled to White Georgia and played Cass High School in the season-ending contest for both squads. The Patriots ended a 10 game losing streak by closing the season on a high note with a 17-14 hard fought victory.

Our goal was to raise money to help the family while she has been out of work & assist with medical bills. With 67 registered bikers, sponsors, vendors, Boston Butt sales, car show, & live music from Vertigo Swirl and Cannon, we were able to raise $17000.00 for Pam!
For the fourth year in a row, the Board of Trustees received the Role Model Foundation Board Certification from the Technical College Foundation Association (TCFA). Along with this award, the college’s Board of Directors received recognition for every Board member having completed a certification process administered by the Technical College Directors’ Association (TCDA).
East Paulding High School Senior Ben Basch is leaving a legacy as a Wendy’s High School Heisman State Finalist. Wendy’s® announced the 2018 Wendy’s High School Heisman State Finalists. From a total applicant pool of nearly 42,000 high school scholar-athletes graduating with the class of 2019, 967 students have been named State Finalists in Wendy’s annual scholarship competition.
Air Force Airman Adrian E. Macpherson, 2017 graduate of Villa Rica High School, completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.
A Paulding Chamber of Commerce Ribbon Cutting Ceremony was held on Tuesday, October 23 rd for Small Town Bank in Dallas. Small Town Bank opened in 1999 and is owned and operated by local shareholders across East Central Alabama, West Georgia, and the surrounding areas.

The Legion will be participating in the Atlanta Veteran’s Day Parade, host a Marine Corps Birthday celebration, kick off their annual “Toys for Tots” campaign, conduct a Veteran’s Day Service and finally, hold a Veteran’s Day Potluck luncheon.
Tensions between East Paulding Raiders and Villa Rica Wildcats heated up in last Friday's game. The game was crucial for both teams as the victor would go on to the playoff and the other walk off for the final time. Both teams racked up countless personal fouls and unsportsmanlike conduct throughout the game.
