Marine Corps Private First Class James Johnson has graduated from basic military training at Parris Island, South Carolina. He is the son of James Johnson Sr. and Naomi Johnson of Hiram, Ga. Private First Class Johnson is a 2016 graduate of Hiram High School.

SPMS students celebrated their success from the first 9 weeks grading period at the Renaissance celebration held at the school. The Renaissance celebration was open to students meeting certain criteria for the program including good grades, behavior, and attendance.
The cheerleaders of PCHS have still transformed into superheroes for the day. As a part of Cape Day to support Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, they began a coin drive to raise money to help children fighting illnesses, and on October 21, came to school dressed in their superhero capes.

Youth from the South Paulding High School chapter of Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) recently participated in a motivational rally at the Georgia National Fairgrounds in Perry, Georgia. Over 4,700 students and advisers from schools across Georgia participated in the leadership rally.
