Paulding County Board of Commissioners presented three Firefighters with Service Awards following their deployment to help South Georgia tornado victims. They were deployed to Albany in late January following the devastating tornado outbreak which killed 12 people and injured hundreds of others.
Both Chattahoochee Tech basketball teams came away with important GCAA wins Sunday afternoon at LakePoint despite late pushes by Atlanta Metropolitan College. The women opened with a dramatic 67-66 victory after two last-second free throws by Sade Collins, and the men won 73-57.

February 11, 2017 City of Hiram Police Explorers with Post 1891 competed in a regional law enforcement explorer competition in Gatlinburg, Tennessee.
Eight members of the twelve-member Explorer POST were involved in the bringing home trophies from the six law enforcement related scenarios they competed in.
Paulding Fine Arts Association's 30th Annual Student Art Show Reception and Awards presentation was held Sunday, February 12, 2017 from 2:00 - 4:00 pm in the Dallas Civic Center and Theatre in downtown Dallas, GA. Crowds viewed the wonderful artwork created by 172 students.
South Pauldings Boys will host Cambridge High School from Milton in the 1st round of the State Playoffs. South Pauldings girls are also headed to State. Paulding County Highs Boys are also headed to State after a surprising performance in the region tournament.
