This past Thursday, February 2nd, the Paulding Rotary club participated in the Feeding America Backpack Program. This year we sorted and delivered over 5300 pounds of food to 11 schools in Paulding County.

The Georgia General assembly reconvened on Monday, January 30th for a hectic fourth week of the 2017 session. Committee and subcommittee hearings were rolling right along as we considered various bills and took up measures dealing with public safety and agriculture.

The Chattahoochee Tech men avenged a narrow home loss earlier in the week to Albany Tech by edging the Titans on Saturday 77-73. The Chatt Tech women’s team fell 76-60 to Albany Tech after defeating the Lady Titans five days earlier.

Devastating tornadoes, thunderstorms, floods and other severe weather events can strike with little to no warning in Paulding County. These devastating effects can be seen most recently in the communities of southwest Georgia.

The Alternative Baseball Organization is a free-to-join developmental baseball program for teens and adults 16 and over with autism and special needs. Alternative Baseball provides an outlet for players in the program to grow and succeed through practices, umpired games, and special events.

Chattahoochee Technical College recently received the distinction of hosting one of the top 10 nursing programs in Georgia by www.registerednursing.org. Listed at No. 5, CTC was noted for its Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) program.
