Completed legislative day 8, Thursday, January 26th. As appropriation hearings to review the budget continued last week, other committee meetings began, wasting no time in vetting proposed legislation.

Matthew Momtahan was elected the 2017 Paulding County Bar Association President. The Paulding County Bar Association (PCBA) is a nonprofit organization consisting of attorneys who practice law in Paulding County.

Ms. McIver, new to her position as of December 1st of last year, plans to utilize her skills in technology, communication and education to continue and expand the positive work that is being accomplished. Her goal is to further expand awareness of the 4-H in Paulding County.

Marc Pedersen, Ed.S. of Paulding County High School in Dallas, GA has been selected as the 2017 Georgia Bio Biotechnology Teacher of the Year.

In its General Session on Friday, January 20, 2017 the State Bar of Georgia’s Young Lawyers Division approved the petition of the West Georgia Young Lawyers’ Association to become affiliated with the Georgia YLD by unanimous voice vote.
