This year, D’Kalyn Morris, along with winners from about 20 other Boys & Girls Club locations, will be honored at the annual Youth of the Year Fundraising Gala on Friday, November 8 at the Delta Flight Museum. Nearly 500 attendees – including local politicians, business leaders, and advocates – are expected to attend this year’s Youth of the Year celebration. The honorees will compete for the title of Metro Atlanta Youth of the Year.

The Paulding County 4-H Forestry Judging team recently competed at the Northwest District Forestry Judging Competition in Conyers, Georgia. The team consisted of Junior and Senior 4-H’ers who spent 8 weeks preparing for the competition by learning to identify seventy-five Georgia trees, forty diseases, and insects of forest trees and learning how to conduct wood volume estimation and orienteering in forest stands.
Established prior to the 2007-2008 school year, the Superintendents Cup sponsored by PT Solutions has presented annually to the high school in Paulding County that has the best overall athletic department based on overall success.

Update to the west Paulding arson/murder case that occurred on August 26, 2019, of Austin James Nicholson. This incident is directly tied to the 2017 murder of Ronald Chadwick murder. We have also attached a map of the incident locations to show their proximity to each other.
The new 10,000-square-foot health center added to the Dallas Walmart held its grand opening last weekend and is dedicated to a range of services that include medical, dental, eye, ear and behavioral and nutritional counseling.
Paulding County Magistrate Clerk Linda Taylor retired this week, after 40 years of service with Paulding County. Linda was honored at the Paulding County BOC meeting for her service and presented with a plaque by Chairman David Carmichael.
