More than 300 business and community leaders filled the Hilton Atlanta Marietta Conference Center on Saturday, January 20th as Chamber President Stacy Hamby welcomed them in for The Paulding Chamber’s Prime of Paulding 57th Annual Awards.
Paulding County Rotary Club members welcomed Seth Bice to the January meeting. Mr. Bice is a Paulding County resident and a firefighter for Cobb County. After witnessing a successful rodeo in our neighboring County, Mr. Bice has been working to bring an annual rodeo to the Paulding County area.
WellStar Health System has named John Kueven, FACHE, as senior vice president and president of WellStar Paulding Hospital. As president of the hospital, Kueven will oversee day-to-day operations of the 112-bed facility and 182-bed skilled nursing center. Kueven will assume the role on March 5th.
A Paulding County Volunteer, Annette Raybon, has served as a volunteer advisor to Georgia 4-H for the past 15 years! With expertise in horse programs, she is always eager to support volunteer development projects, however, needed.

There’s something new for veterans in Paulding County. Vet Life Community meeting has begun again for 2018. The group of Paulding County veterans has been meeting every Thursday night from 6:30-8:00 at the Bethany Christian Church Annex building located at 3264 Villa Rica Highway, Dallas, GA.
High school students residing in the Paulding County vicinity are cordially invited by Post 111 in Dallas to compete in the first round of the 81st American Legion Oratorical contest.

Helping Hands has hired a new Pantry Manager, Dayana Buckmon! Dayana is from Miami, FL and has been a Paulding County resident for over 8 years. She began volunteering here nearly 2 ½ years ago after her daughter began volunteering at Helping Hands.
Hiram, Ga. – December 2017 Happy Hawg BBQ owner, Charles, cares about our nation’s veterans. In both November and December, Happy Haw BBQ designated a day to give a portion of their proceeds to help support a local veteran organization, Operation Not Forgotten.
A Paulding Chamber of Commerce Ribbon Cutting Ceremony was held for MaidPro of Northwest Atlanta on Tuesday, December 12, 2017. MaidPro of Northwest Atlanta is the franchise location that services our area and they are locally owned and operated by Joshua and Jana Peiffer.
This is the 3rd consecutive year Hardy has donated $10,000 but was the first year Hardy partnered with the community in an effort to raise more funds for Helping Hands by matching the $10,000 donated by the community.
Mark Haney of Marietta was named Alumni of the Year for the Technical College System of Georgia (TCSG) by the TCSG Foundation Thursday evening. He was honored alongside Shadae Yancey-Warren of Rome. Governor Nathan Deal, along with TCSG Commissioner Gretchen Corbin, presented the awards.

Rotary Club
With a population in excess of 150,000, Paulding County is able to sustain two (2) Rotary Clubs: Dallas Rotary Club AND Rotary Club of Paulding County.
The Dallas Rotary Club is the newer of the clubs. It was established in 2003 and has 17 active members. This club currently has its regular meetings on Thursday mornings at Audrey’s Cafe. Please check Facebook for schedule.
The Paulding County Rotary Club, the first Rotary Club in Paulding County, was chartered in 1969. It has approximately 42 active members and meets regularly.
Although the clubs are different from one another, the common mission is the same – SERVICE TO COMMUNITY. We invite you to visit each club to determine which is the best fit for you.
