Deputy Terry McAdams, of the Paulding County Sheriff’s Office Uniform Patrol Division, received the “Officer of the Year” award from the Paulding County Rotary Club at their regularly scheduled meeting. Deputy McAdams was accompanied by Sheriff Gary Gulledge along with his family and supervisors at a luncheon held in his honor.
WellStar Paulding Hospital campuses and their Volunteers, Volunteens, and employees conducted a food drive during June 2018. 400 pounds of food and 25 pounds of dry goods were collected to benefit Helping Hands of Paulding County.
The Paulding Rotary annually recognizes first responders with Public Safety Awards & Recognition. Our emergency services in Paulding County are always available and stand ready to come when called. They respond to fires, automobile accidents and defend us against crime. Individuals recognized here are heroes that give more than what is asked.
The Children's Foundation of Paulding donated $1,000 from membership dues to the CAYA Reconciliation Ministries Summer Lunch Program. CAYA prepares over 500 lunches a day through their Summer Lunch Program for under-resourced children. CAYA Reconciliation Ministries works with families in low-income housing communities, single mothers, senior citizens, homeless citizens, and children.
Kindworks United, Paulding County's local support group for foster and adoptive parents, would like to extend their appreciation to the Georgia Riders of Dallas for providing birthday parties for foster children living in Paulding County foster homes.
The Paulding County Rotary Club welcomed guests from Truth in Nature and Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Both groups are Christian-based youth ministries active here in Paulding County. The Paulding Rotary club is a supporter of both ministries for the good work they do here in the county.
A Paulding Chamber of Commerce Ribbon Cutting was held on June 19th for S.H.A.R.E House, Inc., a Domestic Violence Crisis Intervention Center certified to provide services to Douglas and Paulding Counties, Georgia. For over 27 years, S.H.A.R.E. House has been a safe haven for victims looking for assistance.
A Paulding Chamber of Commerce Ribbon Cutting was held on June 21st for the new Marco’s Pizza located in the New Hope community at 351 East Paulding Drive, Dallas, GA 30132. Marco’s Pizza known for its fresh ingredients, secret sauce recipe, and dough made in-store daily, celebrated their Grand Opening on June 24th.
During this month of June, the Paulding County Rotary Club has reached out to several children's organizations and programs that provide and protect children in our local communities. Earlier this month Yolanda Newell of the Paulding Boys and Girls Club updated the club members on the current progress of their afterschool programs for Paulding County youth and teens. Additionally, Christy Wilson of the Paulding County Court Appointed Special Advocacy (CASA) also visited the Rotary Club.
The service began with a presentation of colors by members of the Paulding County Sheriff and Fire Department Honor Guards. This was followed by our National Anthem, sung beautifully by Ms. Tabitha Ketchum. The crowd gathered for the occasion then recited the Pledge of Allegiance in unison. American Legion Post 111 Commander, Mr. Bill Fleisch, introduced Mr. William McPherson, Chaplain of Post 111, who provided the invocation.
Dallas, GA—On May 24, 2018, the Hon. Sandra Miller swore in 9 CASA volunteers. CASA’s are—court-appointed special advocates for abused and neglected children.
The Paulding County Rotary Club had their Annual Senior Cookout at the Wellstar Paulding Nursing Center in Dallas this past week. Paulding Rotary club members began to arrive around 11:30 AM to start preparing the meals for the center's senior residents and staff members.
Hannah Rull, the recipient of the 2018 Paulding County Master Gardener Extension Volunteer Scholarship, recently joined Paulding County Master Gardener Extension Volunteers to accept the award. Hannah is a student at the University of Georgia in Athens, working towards a Master’s Degree.
Paulding County 4-H has had an amazing season filled with many memories. On April 26, Paulding County held its annual 4-H Awards Night which was led by the Senior Club Officers. This evening provided an abundance of recognition to our 4-H’ers in clubs, individual accolades, installation of 2018-19 officers, and year-in-review presentation.

With a population in excess of 150,000, Paulding County is able to sustain two (2) Rotary Clubs: Dallas Rotary Club AND Rotary Club of Paulding County.
The Dallas Rotary Club is the newer of the clubs. It was established in 2003 and has 17 active members. This club currently has its regular meetings on Thursday mornings at Audrey’s Cafe. Please check Facebook for schedule.
The Paulding County Rotary Club, the first Rotary Club in Paulding County, was chartered in 1969. It has approximately 42 active members and meets regularly.
Although the clubs are different from one another, the common mission is the same – SERVICE TO COMMUNITY. We invite you to visit each club to determine which is the best fit for you.
