Paulding County 4-H is proud to share that we have a history of contest interest. We participate in the Make Your Own Piggy Bank Contest with Georgia 4-H and Georgia Saves! Also, 2018 4-H Beekeeping Essay Contest, which is contest is a national competition offered by the Foundation for the Preservation of Honey Bees, Inc.
The American Library Association hosts a bi-annual event in Washington, DC, National Library Legislative Day (NLLD). This is a two-day educational event. May 7th and 8th, 2018 that brings hundreds of librarians, trustees, library supporters and patrons to Washington, D.C. This year, West Georgia Regional Director, Jessica Everingham has invited Paulding County Library Services Coordinator, Cherry Waddell to attend the event along with other Georgia Library Representatives.
A Paulding Chamber of Commerce Ribbon Cutting was held on February 22nd for Bodyplex of Hiram. At Bodyplex it is all about getting results and helping members achieve their health and fitness goals.
Valentine's Day the residents of Well-star Paulding Nursing Home were treated to a Valentine Party sponsored by the Paulding Retired Educators Association. The Valentine Party has been an outreach of the Paulding Retired Educators for many years and it has always been a huge success.

Six Paulding County 4-H’ers joined over 400 4-H youth and leaders for 4-H Day at the Capitol. While in Atlanta, they met with their state Senators and Representatives and saw the House of Representatives during that day’s session. The eventful day included visits with Representative Howard Maxwell (Dist. 17), Senator Bill Heath (Dist. 31), Representative Paulette Rakestraw (Dist. 19).

Rotary Club
With a population in excess of 150,000, Paulding County is able to sustain two (2) Rotary Clubs: Dallas Rotary Club AND Rotary Club of Paulding County.
The Dallas Rotary Club is the newer of the clubs. It was established in 2003 and has 17 active members. This club currently has its regular meetings on Thursday mornings at Audrey’s Cafe. Please check Facebook for schedule.
The Paulding County Rotary Club, the first Rotary Club in Paulding County, was chartered in 1969. It has approximately 42 active members and meets regularly.
Although the clubs are different from one another, the common mission is the same – SERVICE TO COMMUNITY. We invite you to visit each club to determine which is the best fit for you. Please see each club on Facebook for current meeting schedule. FOUR WAY TEST: Of all the things we think, say or do…. Is it the truth? Is it fair to all concerned?
