I am running for reelection of the Post 4 Commission Seat in this year’s Primary Election on May 22nd, and would greatly appreciate your vote in order to continue serving our magnificent county for another term.

News of some resolution of lawsuits over Paulding’s Silver Comet Field came last week following Commission Chairman Dave Carmichael’s comments regarding the cost of conflict council to the county. Carmichael charged that the cost to retain an attorney for what is essentially one county entity suing another is unacceptable to continue.

Media Consultant Eric Seidel was the keynote speaker for the March Chamber Luncheon in Dallas last week. Seidel, CEO of The Media Trainers, LLC, spoke to Paulding business leaders about the right ways and the wrong ways to handle interviews and publicity.

Paulding Chamber of Commerce Ribbon Cutting was held on March 8th for Jeff Langley State Farm. Born and raised in Georgia, Jeff recently moved to the Dallas area with his wife and two pets.

Responding to the increasing number of citizens wanting to assist law enforcement officials and build a stronger partnership in the fight against crime, Sheriff Gary Gulledge announced today that Paulding County citizens are being invited to become Honorary Members of the Georgia Sheriffs’ Association (GSA).

The Paulding County Emergency Management Agency (EMA) is currently recruiting Volunteers for the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT). The CERT Program is managed by the EMA which provides training and equipment to active members.

Conservative businessman and community leader Jason Anavitarte announced his candidacy for Paulding County Board of Education and will officially file to qualify today at the Paulding County Courthouse.

The Hiram Hornets basketball team advanced to the final 4 in the State tournament last week and came up short in the semifinal matchup against a tough Miller Grove squad from Lithonia by a score of 54-41.
