W. C. Abney Elementary 5th grade Venture teacher Mrs. Tonya Bradley led her class through each process of creating a unique invention. The girls (team name Tech-Nados) invented the 4 Ever Marker and were chosen to represent Abney at the State Level at Georgia Tech for the 2018 K-12 InVenture Prize.
Congratulations to these New Georgia students above who earned student of the month for the month of February! These students show great citizenship in their classroom, school, and community. Way to go!
Paulding County 4-H had thirty-one Junior and Senior level 4-H’ers compete at the Northwest District Project Achievement (DPA) at Rock Eagle 4-H Center in Eatonton, Georgia on March 2-4, 2018. Project Achievement is one of the four core programs in Georgia 4-H which is a self-directed individual competition including presentations.

The victim has been identified as a 15-year-old white male. The victim is a juvenile, and we will not be releasing his name or the school he attended. The medical examiner at the GBI Crime Lab in Atlanta stated the injuries that the male sustained were consistent with a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
CareSource, Georgia’s first and only nonprofit managed care organization serving the Medicaid population in Georgia, presented a $10,000 gift to the Chattahoochee Tech Foundation today. The gift will be used to establish the F.O.C.U.S. Scholarship at CTC as part of the CareSource CTC Student Support Program.
As of last Friday, we officially completed 32 of our 40-legislative day session. The quick pace continues as we have begun a review of the many Senate bills sent to the House following Crossover Day. Last week we passed many measures, including the 2019 fiscal year budget. Governor Deal also signed House Bill 159 into law, updating our states adoption code for the first time in nearly 3 decades.
