Paulding County High School JROTC Patriot Battalion assists families in need during the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays. Through numerous fundraising efforts, the Battalion builds 10 Thanksgiving Food Baskets for families of PCHS students needing assistance.

The Paulding Chamber of Commerce will host their Prime of Paulding 57th Annual Awards Celebration, presented by GreyStone Power Corporation, on January 20, 2018, at the Hilton Atlanta Marietta Hotel and Conference Center. Recognition of Citizen of the Year, Business of the Year, Non-Profit of the Year, Community Partner of the Year.

There’s something new for veterans in Paulding County. Vet Life Community meeting has begun again for 2018. The group of Paulding County veterans has been meeting every Thursday night from 6:30-8:00 at the Bethany Christian Church Annex building located at 3264 Villa Rica Highway, Dallas, GA.

Chattahoochee Technical College nursing student and scholarship recipient Breanna Cooper volunteered during the 2017 winter break as a medical volunteer at a public hospital for women and children in the Dominican Republic. Her international medical volunteer internship at Santo Domingo’s Hospital de Los Mina was organized by the London-based Gap Medics organization.

Hiram High School CTI (Career & Technical Instruction) members participated in the 2017 Hiram Difference project for the Kindergarten students from Baggett Elementary School in December 2017.

East Paulding High School’s Principal Mr. Jason Freeman and Athletic Director Mr. Brad Thomason welcomed everyone to the first Raider basketball game of the season and the first game in East Paulding High School’s new gym. That night was designated as EPHS Public Safety Night where the Raider Family thanked the Fire Department and all other first responders for their help during the process of rebuilding their gym.
