seconds 600x314The Paulding County Patriots took to the road and traveled to Cartersville to play the undefeated Woodland Wildcats last Friday night. The Patriots played well and almost collected their first win of the season and nearly spoiled the Wildcats homecoming plans.

NCPCSchools 600x314The North Paulding Wolfpack traveled to Spartan country and downed the Spartans 4-1 in a non-region match-up last week. Both squads are having good seasons thus far and are likely to be playoff bound at seasons end. South Paulding is 4-0 and tied for first place in their region.

henson 600x314Abney Elementary teacher, Jodie Henson, is getting much closer to reaching the goal of raising $15,000 to purchase tablets, keyboards, cases, and stylus, “technology kits” for the students in her classroom thanks to donations from sponsors such as Depew Orthodontics. The purpose of this technology initiative is for the students in Mrs. Henson’s class to use technology on a daily basis to enhance daily classroom experiences.

600x314The Paulding County Patriots suffered a stinging loss at the hands of the Hiram Hornets on Friday at Dave Harden stadium in Dallas by a score of 21-17. The Hornets are off this week and resume action next against Woodland. The Patriots will travel to Cartersville this week to play the same Woodland squad.

east xc 600x314The first official rankings came out on 9/4 for the 2018 Cross Country season. The Lady Raiders are ranked 6th in 5A and the boys are on the watch list. This is the highest ranking for girls in the past few years, and for the boys this is a decent ranking because they have not ran a full squad this season. Saturday of the Labor Day weekend, the Raiders raced at Heritage Christian Church for the Starrs Mill Invite. The meet hosted over 20 teams, including multiple that are currently ranked in the top 10 of their class.

lemar600x314Paulding County Sheriff Gary Gulledge is hosting the 15th Annual Lamar Hunton Memorial Motorcycle Ride and 2nd Annual Jeep Show and Shine to benefit GA Sheriffs’ Youth Homes on September 22, 2018. The motorcycle ride will begin registration at 8:30 a.m. and the Jeep Show and Shine registration will begin at 11:00 a.m. Lunch will be provided along with door prize drawings.

mustangs 600x314The Paulding County Patriots remained winless after 2 games in the 2018 season as they dropped their home opener to Kennesaw Mountain by a score of 48-14. The Patriots struggled to get anything consistently going on offense and could not stop the Mustangs running game and air assault.

trout 600x314Over the summer break, six former and current North Paulding students participated in the annual, "Georgia Trout Camp" event. Andrew Thompson and Aidan McGowen attended as campers. All former Trout Camp Graduates served as young mentors and were assigned various tasks to help the campers learn the art of fly fishing and cold-water conservation.

East TFXCs 600x314Saturday, August 18th, 2018 kicked off the 2018 Cross Country season for East Paulding, as they opened up at the Hoya 2 Mile Invitational. The Raiders ran with a depleted squad as the varsity runners had the weekend off in preparation for the upcoming weeks. Almost equaling the number of runners last year at this race, East Paulding was out to show their depth and size of their team for this season.
