Paulding County Farm Bureau had the honor of hosting the 4th Annual 1st Responder Appreciation Day. In attendance, were members of agencies within our county including Dallas City Police, Hiram City Police, Paulding Co Sheriff's Department, Paulding Co Fire and Rescue, Paulding 911, Metro EMT's, Department of Natural Resources, Paulding Marshall's Service and officers from Georgia State Patrol Post 29.

Paulding County’s Board of Commissioners voted 5-0 last week to table until next month a request submitted from Airport Director Terry Tibbitts for $500,000 for the conversion of the large airport hangar, known as “Hangar One” to bring that facility up to full compliance with all current building and fire codes, which would also allow for more profitable use of the building, Tibbetts told Paulding commissioners during last week’s morning session.
A former Paulding County district attorney and Dallas City Council member will lead the state Insurance Department until Governor Brian Kemp appoints a successor to the recently suspended Commissioner Jim Beck. F.A. "Drew" Lane will perform the duties of the commissioner "as provided for by Georgia law" until Gov. Kemp appoints a successor, the state Insurance Department announced last week.

The Paulding County Sheriff’s Office, working in conjunction with the Atlanta Police Department Homicide Unit Cold Case Squad, the Paulding Judicial Circuit District Attorney’s Office, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Gang Task Force would like to announce the arrest of Andrew John Shadrix in reference to a 2002 double murder that was later determined to have occurred in Paulding County.
