Agents with the Haralson-Paulding Drug Task Force (HPDTF), which is overseen by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI), got a credible tip of drug activity occurring at 809 Williams Road Dallas, Georgia 30132 which is in unincorporated Paulding County. Agents immediately launched an investigation into the incident.

Dallas Parks and Recreation once again for the 4th year in a role hosted a Georgia District Dizzy Dean Baseball Tournament at Sara Babb Park, the week was filled with some very talented Baseball Teams.
The FAA hosted its first aviation career education academy for metro high school students during last week at Paulding County’s Northwest Atlanta Airport. The academy, which ran Monday through Friday, is intended to become an annual event, according to Ricky Flores, an FAA safety inspector, who is a STEM Asset Program representative.
A retirement reception was held in honor of Sergeant Dwayne Cox in the Jail conference room where he was surrounded by his friends, family, and co-workers. Sergeant Cox began his career in law enforcement with the Paulding County Sheriff’s Office on June 4, 2002, and officially retired on June 7, 2019.
The Paulding County Rotary Club welcomed Laurie Ashmore, Director of the Paulding County Water System to the June 11th meeting. Mrs. Ashmore gave a thorough presentation and an update on the status of the Richland Creek Reservoir project. The Richland Creek Reservoir is a critical infrastructure element for Paulding County. The reservoir project is a 20-year effort to ensure safe, sustainable drinking water for now and into the foreseeable future. This project is the largest county undertaking in its history.
Through diligent investigative action that ultimately led to a search warrant of Mitchell’s Dallas, Georgia home, Detectives of the Criminal Investigations Division were able to obtain criminal warrants and arrest Mitchell on October 12, 2017. The vehicle he fled in, the gun he used, and even the clothing he wore the night of the robbery were identified and located by Detectives. Once convicted, Paulding County Superior Court Judge Dean Bucci sentenced Mitchell to 25 years where he will serve 13 incarcerated in the Georgia Department of Corrections prison system with the remainder to be served on probation.
Junior Brevard College Baseball standout Ryan Roon was announced as an All-State Second Team infielder selection by the North Carolina Collegiate Sports Information Association (NCCSIA) on Monday afternoon. Roon was a key contributed for the Tornados throughout the 2019 campaign, helping his squad reach double-digit wins while leading BC in numerous offensive statistical categories. The junior second baseman led his team in hits (47) and batting average (.333) while racking up 12 runs, 18 RBIs, three doubles, and his first collegiate home run.
