Hunter Aiken, AMA 5, from Dallas, Ga has qualified to Loretta Lynn’s Amateur National Motocross Championship in Hurricane Mills, TN. This is the largest amateur race in the nation. He will be competing in the 51CC 4-6 Limited class with 42 of the fastest riders in the nation. Hunter currently has another year left in the 4-6 class, so he is already ahead of the game.
Paulding’s Board of Commissioners approved a request from the Paulding County Superior Court Judges to authorize the Chairman on behalf of the BoC to accept a Grant Awarded to Paulding’s Mental Health Court and to execute all necessary documents.
The Paulding County Rotary club welcomed Angela Moses on behalf of the Paulding County Special Olympics. Larry Jernigan introduced Mrs. Moses to the club as the Special Olympics coordinator for the past three years. She thanked members for the invitation to speak.
A museum dedicated to displaying and demonstrating the workings of U.S. military aircraft from decades past may move from its Rome home base a few miles south to Paulding County. But before that happens officials want to gauge the local community’s interest in supporting the nonprofit museum, which currently attracts about 30,000 annually to the Richard B. Russell Regional Airport in Rome.
