Marine Corps Private First Class Zackery Banks has graduated from basic military training at Parris Island, South Carolina. He is the son of Russel Banks and Angela Ellis of Rockmart, Ga. Private First Class Banks is a 2017 graduate of South Paulding High School.
Marine Corps Private First Class Ethen Mowery has graduated from basic military training at Parris Island, South Carolina. He is the son of Kevin and Rachel Mowery of Hiram, Ga. Private First Class Mowery is a 2013 graduate of Hiram High School.

Patients are now admitted up to 46 percent faster from WellStar Paulding Hospital’s Emergency Department. The hospital collaborated with Vizient MidSouth to make the ED more efficient. Vizient awarded the hospital one of its Top Performer awards for decreasing patient admission time.

U.S. Air Force Airman 1st Class Tyler A. Moore graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland. Moore is the son of Wendi L. Moore of Marietta, Ga., and Timothy W. Moore of Hiram, Ga. He is a 2016 graduate of Hiram High School, Hiram, Ga.
Journeyman Linemen Team Scotty Lyons, Jeremy Norment, Josh Poston, and Coach Keith McCart from Cobb EMC took home First Place at the 34th Annual Lineman’s Rodeo in Bonner Springs, Kansas. The Team won First Place out of 238 Journeyman Teams.
